NOTE: There is a speaking assessment on Tuesday.  Please prepare.

French 6:  Today students took a quiz on COMMANDS and GOODBYES.  If you didn't know these well, please go back and study.

Students learned how to use the lab today.  We practiced for Tuesday's speaking assessment.

Homework:  Practice pronunciation of:  Greetings / Names / How are yous / Goodbyes.

For Tuesday, you will have to do the following:
1.  Say either Hello/Hi/Good evening (I will give you a choice of two)
2.  State you name and ask "What's your name?"
3.  Say one of the goodbyes (I will give you a choice of three).

For extra credit, you will be able to say, "Nice to meet you" in French.
You can study on Quizlet HERE for greetings and HERE for goodbyes.

And for your French enjoyment:

NOTE:  Students were allowed to redo the first quiz of the year. If you wanted to redo the quiz and didn't come, please talk to me/have a parent email me.

French 6:
Today, we practiced ways to say goodbye and went over the commands again.  This information can all be found HERE.  We practiced writing these things HERE.

Students need to be able to spell all the goodbyes on the INTRODUCTION NOTES.  We played a game with commands and wrote short dialogues.

Homework:  Study goodbyes and commands.  There is a quiz tomorrow.  You must be able to spell the goodbyes and understand the commands (no spelling on commands).  You can practice the goodbye words on Quizlet HERE and the command words HERE.  I recommend "spell" and "write" for the goodbye words and "matching" or "test" for the commands.

And for your French happiness...

My hero and inspiration,
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

January 15, 1929 - April 4, 1968

"Make a career of humanity. Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. You will make a greater person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in."    - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s “Theory of Relativity” to serve. You don’t have to know the Second Theory of Thermal Dynamics in Physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.”   - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
