French Club Note:  Our first French Club meeting will be this Friday, August 25, at 8:00 in D743.  The membership form is HERE.  Students can join at any time!

Quiz note:  The first French quiz will be this Friday.

French 6:
Today students continued to practiced the various answers to: "Ça va ?" or "Is everything okay?"  We took NOTES on the answers to "ça va?" These are on the second page. You can practice these on flashcards and play learning games HERE.

We practiced more commands in class, such as Go! and Come here!, etc...  These can also be found on the INTRO TO FRENCH page.  You can study flashcards and play learning games HERE.

If you were absent yesterday, please create your "Je parle français," or "I speak French" page, where you show me and yourself what French you already know.  I gave out an almost blank sheet of paper, and these are the directions:  1) Draw and color anything that relates to you.  2. Write as much French as you know on the paper (without notes or electronics).  This can be words or sentences.  It can be written in lines or decoratively throughout the paper.  It doesn't matter if you don't know how to spell it yet.

If you have not done so, PLEASE SET UP YOUR BINDERS AS FOLLOWS:

English Dividers     OR        French Diividers
Warmups                       Travail Préliminaire
Homework / Classwork      Devoirs / Travail de Classe
Notes / Vocabulary           Notes / Vocabulaire
Quizzes and Tests, etc...       Contrôles et examens, etc…
Projects / Culture            Projets / Culture

HOMEWORK:

1.
Look over the INTRO TO FRENCH PAGE to start learning how to write some of the new words.  Check out some of the flash cards listed above.
2.  Be sure to have your binder tabs set up.
3.   Explore the website!
4.  Start studying for your quiz.

If you made it this far, fill in this form to let me know you checked the website!  The form will not work in an email - you have to BE ON THE ACTUAL WEBSITE BLOG.

    Bonjour!

If you submit this form successfully, it will take you to a page that will tell you that you are awesome!

My hero and inspiration,
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

January 15, 1929 - April 4, 1968

"Make a career of humanity. Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. You will make a greater person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in."    - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s “Theory of Relativity” to serve. You don’t have to know the Second Theory of Thermal Dynamics in Physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.”   - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
