Yearbook:  If you are interested in being in the Yearbook Class next year, please pick up an application in D743.

French 6:  Today in class, students learned the words for the seasons.  They did a short warmup on JUST seasons for Quizlet.  Then we reviewed all the WEATHER EXPRESSIONS and we wrote weather forecasts.

Homework: There is a short quiz tomorrow on WEATHER VOCAB.  If you redo SPELL for weather tonight, you will get +2 on the quiz. I would recommend trying it without your notes open.

Due Friday:  Spell for 
HOW TO TALK ABOUT SEASONS. This is not due until Thursday night, but you will get extra credit if you finish it by Wednesday night.

French 6:  Today we continued learning about the weather.  Students did some weather writing practice as a warmup, and then we played Pictionary with the weather words.

Homework: 1. Tomorrow there is a quiz on calendar words and questions,  The vocabulary sheets for DAYS and 
DATES. have all the words that students need to know.

French 6:  Today we began learning about WEATHER. We listened to a song, looked over weather vocabulary, and played "Quizlet Live."


Homework: 1. Do SPELL for the weather words HERE.
  This is due by Sunday night.  You will get extra points if you do it by Saturday night.

French Club: Meeting tomorrow at 8:00.

French 6:  Today we practiced all the calendar information..  This info can be found on the months of the year page and the DAYS page.. 

Students who missed work over the last three days were given the opportunity to make up the work while we played a review game.  There will be a quiz on this material on Tuesday of next week.

Homework:  Be sure you have completed the Quizlets from the last three day.

French 6:  Today we practiced dates and the months of the year.  We continued using the words for "before" and "after."  We learned how to talk about birthdays.  I gave out vocabulary for days and months/dates.  There will be a quiz on this material on Tuesday of next week.

Homework:  Do SPELL for Calendar Questions. 

Please note that there are two ways to ask about your birthday.  Quelle est la date de ton anniversaire (What is the date of your birthday)? or C'est quand ton anniversaire (When is your birthday)?  Want extra credit?  Do Spell for the whole review guide instead.  You can also do fill-in-the-blank practice on your own.

French 6:  Welcome back!  Today we studied the DAYS OF THE WEEK.  Students learned the words in French for:  the week, before, after, was, yesterday.

Homework:  Please complete SPELL or Match x 20 for QUESTIONS ABOUT DAYS.  Please complete this tonight.

French 6: Wow!  So many day without French!  If you didn't already do the extra credit, you can learn the MONTHS OF THE YEAR (spell).   You should also go back and make sure you know the DAYS OF THE WEEK.

Finally, you already know how to write the date in French, but it might not be a bad idea to review it:  All you do it write:  "It's the (number) month."  For example, "It's October 15" = C'est le 15 octobre.  You can also look at the DATES page HERE.


Homework:  Enjoy your time at home and smile in French!

French 6: Today, we learned about the song, Aux Champs Élysées.  Students went to the PARIS PAGE and looked over all the monuments we studied.  Then they listened to the song.  There is an online form to fill out at the bottom of the page that I will grade as classwork.  After the computer work, we all sang the song together.

Homework: If you didn't finish the classwork above, please do it.

Optional Extra credit: 
 Do spell for MONTHS OF THE YEAR by MONDAY NIGHT.  If you don't feel like you really know them, do them several times - it's only 12 words.

French Club:  We will meet this Friday at 8:00.

French 6: Today, talked about the Arc of Triumph and the Les Champs Élysées and L'Arc de Triomphe. We watched a video about the history of the Arch.  You can see this and more on the PARIS PAGE.  You can also find the song there we are going to learn called "Oh Champs Élysées!"

Homework: If you want to learn the vocab we will be studying next week, you can go to weather, calendar, or the whole unit.  Tomorrow, you might earn chocolate if you can say the MONTHS OF THE YEAR.

French Club:  We will meet this Friday at 8:00.

French 6: Today, we reviewed some basic questions from last semester. Then we talked about Paris and did an overview of some of the most famous monuments.  There are some pictures HERE if you wish to see.

Tomorrow we will study Les Champs Élysées and L'Arc de Triomphe. 

Homework: If you want to learn the vocab we will be studying next week, you can go to weather, calendar, or the whole unit.

French Club:  We will meet this Friday at 8:00.

French 6: Today, we went over how to say "Happy New Year" in French.  We had a pretend count down to 2018, and we wished each other a Happy New Year!

We went over the midterms today - most students did great!  We also reviewed some material from last semester.

Homework: 1 - Tomorrow, we will be learning about something called Les Champs Élysées. If you want to win CHOCOLAT, be able to tell me (in detail) what Les Champs Élysées is.  You can also win chocolate if you can tell me where the expression comes from.   

2 - If you want to learn the vocab we will be studying next week, you can go to weather, calendar, or the whole unit.
