French 6:  Students practiced the day and the date and how to say their names again today..  They learned more about "la bise," a kiss greeting on each cheek.  We even watched a short cartoon in French.  We learned "la rentrée" or "back to school."  We also started to learn how to say "How are you?" and various answers.  More on that tomorrow.

We had a raffle for students who turned in their signed SYLLABI forms.  We will have a raffle every day this week for students as they turn in their forms.

We practiced a song today that can be found HERE at the bottom of the page. The lyrics are here:  The words are HERE.  Alert: If you can sing this song tomorrow, there might be a bonbon in your future.

TOMBOLA ALERT:  If I choose your name tomorrow, and your tabs are set up, you get CHOCOLAT!  See below.

My hero and inspiration,
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

January 15, 1929 - April 4, 1968

"Make a career of humanity. Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. You will make a greater person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in."    - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s “Theory of Relativity” to serve. You don’t have to know the Second Theory of Thermal Dynamics in Physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.”   - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
